Day-by-Day Scoop
Day 1: Welcome to the Alps
Roll into Arra Montagne Haven, nestled at the foot of Mont Blanc. Your room’s pure alpine cozy—wood beams, fluffy duvets, and a balcony with mountain views. At 6 p.m., meet your group for a welcome vin chaud (hot wine) by the fireplace. First dinner’s a hearty Savoyard spread: think tartiflette (potatoes, cheese, bacon) and blueberry tart. You’ll sleep like you’re in a cloud.
Day 2: Hike & Sauna Bliss
After a breakfast of croissants, yogurt, and local jams, lace up for a 2.5-hour guided hike to Lac Blanc, a turquoise lake with Mont Blanc peeking over. It’s moderate (4 km, some uphill), with stops for pics. Back at the hotel, lunch is on your own—grab a crepe in Chamonix. Then, melt into a 60-minute cedar sauna session, all steamy and pine-scented. Dinner’s at the hotel: maybe fondue with crusty bread. Heaven.
Day 3: Aiguille du Midi Adventure
Post-breakfast, hop on the cable car to Aiguille du Midi—20 minutes to 3,842m! Step onto the glass-bottomed Skywalk for insane views of glaciers and peaks. Spend an hour exploring (bring a jacket, it’s chilly). Back down, lunch’s your call—try a bistro in town. Afternoon’s free—stroll Chamonix’s shops or nap. Dinner’s on you tonight; we’ll point you to spots like Le Monchu for alpine grub.
Day 4: More Hiking & Cheese
Fuel up with breakfast, then head out for a 2-hour hike to Chapeau Glacier, with meadows and waterfalls along the way (3.5 km, easy-ish). Back by noon, enjoy a 1-hour cheese tasting—Comté, Reblochon, and more, paired with local reds. Afternoon’s yours—book a massage (extra cost) or chill by the hotel’s fire. Dinner’s a group feast: roasted lamb, ratatouille, and crème brûlée. I might’ve spelled that wrong, oops.
Day 5: Sauna & Farewell
One more breakfast, then a second 60-minute cedar sauna session to soak up the calm. Spend the afternoon wandering Chamonix’s markets or relaxing with a book. The final dinner’s a biggie: a multi-course alpine banquet with live accordion tunes, featuring beef bourguignon and apple tarte tatin. You’ll leave feeling like you’ve conquered the Alps.
Day 6: Au Revoir
Grab a final breakfast—extra pain au chocolat, anyone?—and check out by 11 a.m. Stick around the hotel’s lounge if your train or flight’s later. You’ll be itching to come back.
Why You’ll Love It
This retreat’s a sweet spot for couples who want wellness with a side of adventure. Hikes are moderate (no mountaineering skills needed), and the sauna sessions are pure relaxation. The cheese tasting’s a fun, cozy vibe, and the Aiguille du Midi ride’s a bucket-list moment. Arra Montagne’s a charmer—14 rooms, a small spa, and staff who feel like friends. Dinners are rich and local, with enough variety to keep things fresh. Small group means you’ll actually chat, not just nod. It’s rejuvenating without being fussy.
